I am so excited to share with you that I FINALLY finished my first marathon. I had trained for two others but got injured both times only a few weeks before the marathon so didn’t make it to the starting line either time.
Finally on Sat. the 20th I finished The Blue Ridge Marathon, claimed to be one of the toughest road routes in America! I was so excited to cross the finish line and equally as excited to have finally crossed the starting line.
Why am I sharing this with you? Because in training for 3 marathons I realized how closely related that training is to the training it takes to make it in this business. Or any business for that matter.
The first step was I did research on what I wanted to do
The second step was I found coaches, mentors, and trainers to help me get there
The third thing I did was Google and downlaod marathon training schedules
The Fourth thing I did was create a schedule for training that worked with my life. My doing it undoubtedly removes the excuse of I’m too busy to workout, I have two kids 12, and 9 who are involved in everything under the sun that I have to get them to, I own two companies, my coaching company and my Real Estate Team. I’ve sold 36 homes so far this year while training for the marathon, coaching, raising my kids and keeping our home together. You can be, do, and have anything you want if you simply plan for it! I’ll be writing a book about my marathon experience and can’t wait to share it!
What came up throughout all three times I trained was everything under the sun. My mom almost died and was in the hospital for 2 months fighting for her life. My son started middle school. I turned 40. I sold 75 homes last year and 50 the year before despite the challenging market while coaching and running courses. My son did his first year of Marching Band, any parents who have a marching band student you know how much time this takes. I got anemia, shin splints, Achilles Tendinitis, strept throat, and an awful blister under my toe. Gross, I know but it was so awful and painful I can’t leave it out. Why do I share all this? Because I did not give up or quit or decide it was too hard, too much, or I was too busy. I had a goal and a passion and despite all the odds I crossed the starting line and the finishing line!
You can do the same thing in business or anything else you want to do. Follow a few simple steps, believe in yourself, and anything is possible!

Now What Do I Say?, The Course
One of the authors of the highly acclaimed Real Estate Objection Handler Book, Now What Do I Say?, Christy Crouch, will personally lead an 8 week course revealing all the techniques and secrets used by she and the other two authors to create the book.
