My mindset was in the tubes this a.m. as I began my day. I literally had to force myself out of the bed, into my gym clothes, and into my car to drive to the gym.

I felt better after exercising but still fought myself to get to the office. I just wasn’t feeling at the top of my game or in the state of power and confidence that I normally feel. You know my head was all about, it’s cold, the market sucks, I’m tired, I don’t feel like it today, and on and on and on my mind spun!

I had allowed myself about an hour to experience the mini breakdown, and to have one of “THOSE” mornings. Then I popped in a motivation CD, rolled my sleeves up, and made the CHOICE to go ahead and make it a great day despite how I was feeling.

As soon as I made that decision, I checked my emails and got an email from an agent who wants to write an offer on a listing that I just took off the market because my seller had to rent the house since it wasn’t selling. The new buyers are willing to honor the lease and rent it for a year and STILL buy the house.

The second email was from an agent who is going to be writing an offer on one of my listings NON contingent upon the sale of the buyers home, which was what they were talking about doing yesterday.

The third email was from some folks who want to meet us to write an offer on a lot we emailed them information on yesterday.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I honestly believe that when we shift our thought process, our attitude, and our focus, our WORLD shifts!

Would it have all happened anyway had I chose to stay in bed, not exercise, and wallow in my misery for the rest of the day vs. drawing the line and saying this is it, it’s over and I’m making a new choice and creating a new mindset, mood and day for myself?

I don’t know, maybe it would have. I’ll never know that answer because I chose to shift my mindset, being, and thought process and boom it all shifted!

Consider what your thoughts are, where your focus is and who and how you are being. In fact I recommend checking in on that with yourself many times throughout the day as it changes from moment to moment based on what’s going on around us. Earl Nightengale said, “you get what you think about most of the time”, so be careful what you think about.

A good friend of mine, who is in my mastermind group, told me yesterday to remember to focus on where I want to be and not where I’m at. Simple as it sounds I was thinking about everything that is wrong and not right, and frustrating me in my life right now.

I know you’re thinking, doesn’t she already know that being a coach and a top agent? And the answer is yes, but like the rest of you, I’m human too and I have those days just like anyone else.

I’m so thankful that I’m involved in mastermind groups, coaching, that I immerse myself in books, tapes, cd’s, and people who support me and grab my hand to pull me back up when I’m sliding down.

In fact I called Scott this morning and reached out to him on what I had going on. You can’t do this thing called life alone guys. We need others around us to support us, help us, motivate, inspire us, mentor us and coach us along the way. Well let’s say that with this kind of support system it sure makes it all easier and in a lot of cases faster.
