How much time have you spent lately working on your business plan? As you know, we are already beyond the half way mark of this year. Amazing how fast time goes by, isn’t it?

Studies have shown that something like less than 5% of the population ever takes the time to write down any goals and or plans. Yet, think about the amount of time we spend planning our one week’s vacation, or what we will do this weekend, or where we will go to dinner. Actually when you really think about it, it’s kinda sad. We spend all this time planning things that will last for such a short period of time yet hardly any time planning our LIFE which lasts a lifetime!

The good news is, it’s not too late. It’s never too late. Right now is the time to begin the first day of your brand new life. And please don’t get me wrong, I’m not by any means, saying that anything is wrong with your current life, or way of being. But imagine how cool it is that at any moment we can chose to totally reinvent ourselves. That’s some really fascinating stuff isn’t it?

Okay, so in selling over 100 home year after year, being the mom of two kids under the age of 8, co-writing two books, running two companies, and having time to exercise and have a personal life…believe me, structure, schedule, and planning are something I spend a lot of time doing!

If you don’t have a business plan in place already, take the following simple steps toward creating one for the remainder of this year.

First, decide how many sales you want to make between now and the end of the year.

Second, break your plan down into monthly goals for each month left in the year with the following goals:

Number of days you will work each month
Number of hours you will work on those days
Which days will you work
How many hours will you prospect or spend time generating new business each of those days
How many listings will you take
How many listings will you sell
How many price reductions will you get
How many buyer sales will you make

Again, the above should all be broken down into a monthly basis. In addition, have the following for each month:

Days off
Things you will do
Places you will go
Books you will read
CD’s you will listen to
Seminars / Events you will attend
Areas of your life where you are committed to having a breakthrough

Then spend some time reading your plan each day to stay on track. In fact, give a copy to your significant other, or a friend or relative. Ask them to support you and help you stay on track with your goals and commitments.

If you have areas of your life where you want to have breakthrough’s, reach out for help. If you have a coach, by all means give a copy of your plan to your coach.

As coach’s, we are here to hold you accountable to the things you want in your life and in your business. Coach’s want more than anyone to see you succeed at any level you desire and to support you every step of the way.

If you don’t already have a coach or mentor helping you to sell the volume of homes that you want to sell and teaching you exactly what to do, how to do it, what to say and how to say it, then we would like to apply for the job of helping you.
